Status Bar
Status Bar Overview
The WaveDrive status bar icon is the app’s system-level presence. Click it to open a small popover showing the current sync progress, any errors or notifications, and your recent files.
Everything else — Application Profiles, Bookmarks and Settings — lives in the main window, covered in the sections that follow.

Sync Progress
The current sync state, the file in flight, pass progress, and time since the last sync.

Errors & Notifications
Failed files surface at the top with a short reason, alongside network warnings and maintenance notices.

Recent Files
The most recently synced files, in either direction. See Recent Files.

Status Indicators
The WaveDrive status bar icon carries a small coloured badge that reports sync status without you opening anything — red, orange, or green.
Green — Synced
All folders are up to date and your account is connected. Nothing needs your attention.
Orange — Paused, work to do
Sync is paused or blocked, and there is still work queued. This covers a manual pause, an Application Guard pausing sync while your DAW runs, storage quota reached, or no network connection. Click the icon for details.
Red — Error
Something failed to sync. Open the popover for the error message, or check the activity log in the main window.
- No badge
While WaveDrive is happily syncing or waiting between passes, the badge is hidden. A missing badge means healthy — green appears once everything has caught up.

Recent Files
Below the sync status, the popover lists recent activity — anything that failed, and the most recent files that synced successfully in either direction.
Errors First
Files that failed to sync appear at the top of the list in red, with a short reason underneath the file name. Errors stay visible until the file syncs successfully or the problem is resolved. If more than five files have failed, the list compacts into a single N errors line that opens the activity log in the main window.
Recent Successful Syncs
Each recent file shows a leading glyph that tells you what happened:

Blue up arrow — the file was uploaded to your WaveDrive cloud.

Green down arrow — the file was downloaded from another device.

Checkmark — the file was verified already in sync; no bytes needed to move.

The popover keeps the list intentionally brief. For full history — timestamps, directions, sizes and error detail — open the activity log from the main window.
