General Settings
The General pane shows your WavePlan account at a glance and controls how WaveDrive launches.
WavePlan Account
When your device is linked, General shows your account name, email address, and current subscription tier. The Manage button opens the account window where you can change plans. If your account is in read-only maintenance mode on the server, a notice appears here and sync writes pause until it lifts.
This pane is also where you Unlink App — disconnecting this installation from your WavePlan account. Unlinking clears WaveDrive’s local configuration but never touches your files on disk. See WaveDrive Device Link.
Launch at Login
Enable Launch at Login to start WaveDrive automatically when your Mac logs in, so sync resumes without you opening the app. WaveDrive registers as a standard macOS login item — no helper app or daemon is required.
About
The About section lists the installed version and bundle identifier, with a shortcut to this documentation.
Settings
Activity Log
The Activity Log is a rolling feed of everything WaveDrive has done — uploads, downloads, deduplication, skips, conflicts, retries, and connection events.
Accessing the Log
Open the Activity pane in the WaveDrive main window. From the status bar popover, the compact N errors line opens it directly when more than five files have failed.
Log Entries
Each row shows:

Time of the event, plus a direction arrow — blue for uploads, green for downloads.

Event type, colour-coded: uploads blue, downloads green, conflicts orange, failures red.

File name and detail — the file involved and a short note, such as the reason a file was skipped or failed.
Use the search field to filter by file name or detail, and the scopes beneath it to narrow to Files, Sync, Issues, or System events.
Errors & Retries
Failed entries show their full detail text in red. A file that fails enters a retry cycle with back-off — you’ll see Pending Retry entries until it succeeds. Right-click any row to copy the line, or reveal the file in Finder when the entry references one.
Retention & Console.app
The log keeps the 500 most recent events in memory. Every event is also mirrored to the macOS system log, so history survives app restarts — the toolbar’s Open in Console button dumps the last hour into Console.app. Clearing the log removes the in-memory entries only; it never affects your synced files or the Console.app history.
