Introducing Foresight — see what your music would cost on WavePlan
Foresight is a new pane in the WaveDrive toolbar (the sparkle magnifier). Drag any folders onto it — crates, projects, sample libraries — and WaveDrive tells you exactly how much space they'd use in your WavePlan library after deduplication, without uploading a single byte. The estimate runs entirely on your Mac.
Watch deduplication work
Each dropped folder becomes a segment of an animated ring. As WaveDrive reads your files, you watch each segment compact: the solid arc is what would upload, and the striped arc is the space deduplication just saved you — duplicates inside your drop and files already in your WavePlan library are all credited.
The centre of the ring tells the story in plain numbers:
-
Space Saved — how much online storage WavePlan's dedup saves you
-
Your Files — the full size needed to restore everything back to a local disk
-
WavePlan Storage — what the same files need on WavePlan
Know your plan before you pick one
Once the scan settles, Foresight names the WavePlan subscription that fits your drop — Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond — so you can choose with real numbers instead of guesses.
One step from estimate to sync
Like what you see? Any folder you've dropped can be turned into a sync bookmark straight from Foresight — named, typed as a Crate or Projects folder, and ready to enable whenever you are.
